I read with interest the letter by Terry Espejo titled "Back to the Basic of Learning." His letter addresses the move in this district to reform the delivery of Math 8 in area high schools with the goal of improving student achievement.

While newly minted Premier Christy Clark was busy patting herself on the back over last week's announcement of an increase in the minimum wage, the news is not welcome for many.

I am mortified by the magnitude of problems arising from the chambers of city council. The use of the "alternate approval" process, the brainchild of Gordon Campbell, is candidly deviant.

As Prime Minister Harper continues to try and do good things for this country, Ignatieff and his Liberals continue to work to defeat wise decisions and plans put forth by the Conservatives.

I have driven in 15 different countries in all kinds of traffic and in Canada, coast to coast through all provinces, all major cities and all major highways.

Mr. Mayor, I have had since the last thaw some three weeks ago a lake in front of my home. It seems I can no longer get mail unless they bring a boat as my only access is via water craft.

I am left burning mad about the City of Prince George's proposal to convert 300 square kilometres of forests to farmland in and about Prince George as part of their community "forest" expansion.

As an eager arts enthusiast and supporter of the proposed Performing Arts Centre, I would like to thank the city councillors who stood up for fairness at Monday's council meeting.

I am writing in response to your March 15th editorial "Arts groups must learn to stand in line." I recognize that editorial was penned by the Glacier Media Group and not specifically for Prince George, but nevertheless it is sadly misinformed.
