This letter was sent to Mayor Dan Rogers and copied to The Citizen for publication. I am a resident on Carney Street and I have never seen such appalling conditions of snow removal. We have never had this happen under any mayor in the last 30 years.

All weekend long with the raging blizzard outside, as I stayed warm and dry in the house snuggled next to the wood stove with family and friends I began to wonder about the road conditions.

If Prince George City council was planning on using the Canada Winter Games to rationalize raising taxes yet again, the application to host the Games should have gone to a referendum to see if the citizens were willing to accept such a trade-off.

Following the close result in the B.C. Liberal leadership vote Saturday, winner Christy Clark and runnerup Kevin Falcon offered reassurances about party unity.

Are you tired of the snow yet? I guess that is a bit of a silly question seeing as we all love snow so much. And we all also love sweeping the snow off the vehicle every morning and when we get out of work at the end of the day.

On any list of matters that premier-designate Christy Clark would sooner not have to confront straightaway, contract talks with the B.C. Teachers' Federation would surely rank near the top.

Freedom isn't segregation on a reservation miles away from anything. Justice isn't having the police do nothing about our women getting killed because they "don't have enough evidence." Equality isn't having a card that says I am an Indian.

There has been much complaint in letters of late regarding fluoridation. Tooth decay was one of the most universal problems suffered by mankind. No more in many countries.

I would like to know where in the sky this money is falling from, so I can get my bucket and be there when it is. You know there is a method to your madness.
