I am writing in response to Bruce Strachan's article of May 31, 2012, which he entitled "Dissecting a Socialist Brain Trust," a title completely expected from a former Social Credit cabinet minister. Mr.

Keith Donohue's "The Stolen Child" is a fairy tale for adults. Dark but not dismal it's a book with some tension and quite a lot of beauty.

Driver's Seat

As someone who makes a living driving on the roads of this city, I choose to weigh in on the great pothole debate. The problems with our city roads have been an issue for years, and keep getting worse. We cannot look back and point fingers.

If the measure of a great politician is calculated using their ability and desire to create new ways to tax those who elected them, then Canada, British Columbia and Prince George are represented by the best.

In the Citizen of Tues. May 29, 2012 Coun. Brian Skakun was quoted "We have people that come in from the Regional District that use our roads everyday that do not pay our road tax. This is about sharing.

I have written a few letters over the years complaining on how the City of Prince George does things, so I thought it was about time I complimented them on doing an outstanding job for going above and beyond what was required.

Why is the Kin Centre being demolished and a new one built when it would be less costly to refit the existing one? This money could be used to repave the horrific mess we call roads.

I am responding to a letter to the newspaper regarding the fact that Mayor Green and I should be ashamed for suggesting that the City look at the idea of a fuel tax to help offset the cost of increased road repairs.
