High gas prices; limited sources of fossil fuels; carbon-footprint; are likely all terms things you think about when you pay the heating bill or fill up you vehicle.

It was a year ago when Bruce Strachan was playing piano at our North Central Senior Association Christmas dinner that I said to him "writing letters to the editor is pointless." He replied "I beg to strongly disagree.

I was shocked by Eddie Johnson's November 30th. letter to the editor, titled "Israel Ethnically Cleansing Palestine" in a recent edition of this paper.

I have a suggestion to help with the snow removal budget: stop plowing my street! This is the third time since October that my small street has been plowed, and all three times were on days when it was warm enough that the snow was melting on its own
