I have a suggestion to help with the snow removal budget: stop plowing my street!
This is the third time since October that my small street has been plowed, and all three times were on days when it was warm enough that the snow was melting on its own anyway. Last time there was barely any snow on the road and they left nice long scrapes down the asphalt for the entire length of the road. Save the plows for when we actually need them!
