I'm not a big rap fan, never have been. But over the last few years I have listened to a bit more than usual.

A recent Associated Press story reported about a black bear that had to be euthanized after frequenting the Glacier National Park Campground, and charging visitors.

At last we are rid of the scourge that hit this country in the 1980s, which was brought on by Henry Morgentaler. He called himself a doctor but, as I understand it, a doctor's purpose is to save and preserve life.

So much for the legal precedent.

In regards to B.C.'s justice system. When a Crown prosecutor says an accused is asking the impossible while demanding an accused abide by conditions that are in direct conflict with each other, the Crown is asking the impossible.

Dr. Ricardo Bonefine of College Heights Veterinary Clinic deserves a round of applause and has our enormous respect and gratitude. He has shown unbelievable professionalism, compassion and humanity to our family; immediate and extended.

I got quite a surprise in UHNBC parking lot. Two parking attendants stopped me from getting a parking ticket saying that I have a Veterans License Plate and didn't have to pay the fee. I thanked them and wished I had known this years ago.

The long weekend is almost upon us, which means most folks will be in the mood for a little fun - and perhaps some loud music. There's a band that's been around for a while now but I just recently discovered them for myself.

I won't attempt to call myself overly (or remotely) knowledgeable when it comes to comic books, but I've always had a soft spot for X-Men.
