It's a matter of trust

I found it interesting and disturbing that both your editorial and your major opinion piece in today's Citizen addressed the coming election as a matter of the budget.

I found it interesting and disturbing that both your editorial and your major opinion piece in today's Citizen addressed the coming election as a matter of the budget.

In my mind and that of most of my friends and acquaintances, this election is about the contempt of parliament and the fact that parliamentarians cannot trust what little information the government gives them.

The Conservatives have an unbroken record of saying one thing and doing another, passing laws and then ignoring them, and stating policy and then doing the opposite.

Their much touted economic record is based on the strong position in which Paul Martin left the country before they took office.

Please reflect this position in at least some of your future opinion pieces.
