One of seven people arrested during a police raid on a VLA neighbourhood home last year have been sentenced to a year in jail for drug trafficking. Tracy Deborah Gibbon, 46, was issued the term Sept. 2 in Prince George provincial court.

North District RCMP Chief Superintendent Rod Booth has been named a member of the Order of Merit for Police Forces. Booth was among 75 police officers named to the order by Governor General David Johnston during a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
