Drug trafficker gets year in jail

One of seven people arrested during a police raid on a VLA neighbourhood home last year have been sentenced to a year in jail for drug trafficking. Tracy Deborah Gibbon, 46, was issued the term Sept. 2 in Prince George provincial court.

One of seven people arrested during a police raid on a VLA neighbourhood home last year have been sentenced to a year in jail for drug trafficking.

Tracy Deborah Gibbon, 46, was issued the term Sept. 2 in Prince George provincial court.

Two others - Destiny Paige Ghostkeeper, 32, and Svetlana Melissa Markovic, 30, were sentenced to a day in jail for possession of a controlled substance, also on Sept. 2.

They were apprehended Jan. 23, 2013 when police executed a search warrant on a rental property in the 2200 block of Upland Street .

Police seized quantities of heroin and crack cocaine and arrested five women and two men.

Gibbon, Ghostkeeper and Markovic were subsequently charged.
