The Winter Games have come and gone, leaving us with warm and pleasant memories. I was impressed by our hosts, musicians and volunteers, as well as our guests.

Thanks to Neil Godbout (editorial "Beyond Hope"), the frustration felt in Prince George and the north by the people of the south was very well put. We have been at the receiving end by family and through work for years.

I am responding to "Fireworks excessive"... and we do not agree. We loved seeing the fireworks every night from our house and the location on Connaught Hill is a perfect view for everyone in the city.

If UNBC wants to write itself another chapter of growth and success in its next 25 years, Prince George's jewel on the hill needs to change.

Despite all of the problems in the world, it is becoming a much better place. I would argue that we are moving from mere tolerance to acceptance and even to love for our sisters and brothers.

I hope you had a chance to take part in the once in a lifetime, wonderful, fun and very successful 2015 Canada Winter Games.

Thanks to the entire organizing committee involved with the Biathlon races held during Canada Games in Prince George.

The terrorists have won. They have maneuvered the psyche of the general population into a perpetual state of paranoia. We have a government that wants to make laws that deal with so-called acts of terrorism.

In politics, it's all political. No exceptions. Discussions, diplomacy, decisions...it all comes down to the political gain or loss. The smart politicans keep it simple with a cost-benefit analysis.

Here's my reflection of the Games: Thumbs up to all the citizens and volunteers of Prince George as you have all made us proud to host these Games.
