The terrorists have won.
They have maneuvered the psyche of the general population into a perpetual state of paranoia. We have a government that wants to make laws that deal with so-called acts of terrorism. Some of these acts (peaceful protest, protest marches, disagreement with government etc) are included in their rush to curb terrorism. A more positive way would be to pass a law that gives police, soldiers and like armed personnel the right to take down and summarily execute anyone who commits an overt act of terrorism.
What, you say? No due process? Do you think these murdering idiots believe in due process? They are committing an act of war against a peaceful person or persons for their own twisted reasons. They call themselves soldiers of their god, then they should die like soldiers- in a hail of gunfire. No one in this world has the right to tell another what to believe in. I believe in defending your right to believe in anything you want, you just don't have the right to tell me I have to believe it too.
Everyone has the right to live in peace. But it seems nowadays that terrorism has taken over the freedom to co-exist with others without prejudice. Radicalization is just another word for those that don't want to comply with the laws of civilized society. The "radicals" believe that by joining a group, they are immune from being singled out as criminals-which is what they basically are. Hiding behind a religion makes you no better. All that does is foster mistrust and doubt.
These so-called soldiers are basically cowards, they do not show their faces. What are they afraid of? A true soldier marches with his face exposed to face his opponent. These goons propose to commit acts of terrorism against innocent people. This nothing more than murder and mayhem, destruction of property and the loss of peaceful co-existence.
Our forefathers fought to come out of the dark ages, to become free of oppression and to live life as free individuals. This bunch of mentally disturbed criminals want to take us back to being in that dark past. I hope our elected officials can come up with a positive solution. Remember the sergeant-at-arms? He's a hero. We need more people like him.
