That's enough of us tripping over each other trying to be appropriate about Christmas in our schools - or just about Christmas generally.

While travelling to Prince George from Victoria on Tuesday, our car and several others went off the highway on an icy stretch of Highway 97 by 70 Mile House. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of everyone that day.

In Saturday's National Post, there was an article about Australia's Royal Commission which has spent five years looking into institutional child sex abuse.

Around 3,000 people enjoyed the ballet The Nutcracker, the unique presentation of Judy Russell and her organization and the PGSO. Well, you would know that of course, since the Citizen is one of the generous major sponsors of this miraculous event.

Someone asked me yesterday if I missed the mayhem of owning my business at Christmas time. The truth is that I do.

It's that time of the year. Christmas carolers, chestnuts roasting on an open fire and all that. If you have ever walked around New York City at this time of the year, both are on every street corner.
