In Saturday's National Post, there was an article about Australia's Royal Commission which has spent five years looking into institutional child sex abuse.
After hearing the testimony of more than 8,000 sex abuse survivors, one of their recommendations is that Catholic priests should be allowed to marry. Surprisingly, the powers at the Vatican are paying attention to this report and state it deserves to be studied seriously.
I wonder why the Catholic Church which likes to call itself a Christian Church is willing to study a report from this Royal Commission, a secular body, instead of listening to what God has to say in the Bible.
Genesis 2:18: "And the Lord God said, it is not good for man to be alone." And in 1 Corinthians 7:2 is says "nevertheless to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."
