There is something about the bleak darkness of December. The mornings fail to brighten noticeably before the busy day begins, then all too soon, the snowy afternoons turn to evenings blanketed in ice fog.

I realize we have issues in our health care system. Having just spent 10 days in it I have had nothing but good to say of the people looking after us with what they have to work with.

Recently, on the Global newscast they were bragging about people at the [Vancouver airport] duty free paying $28,000 for a bottle of whiskey.

This letter is to the person or persons that took my purse on Sunday afternoon Dec. 4 from the handicap parking spot in front of Zellers. While putting my purchases in my vehicle, I accidentally left my purse in the cart and drove away.

Dear Mr. Grinch: We just moved in October to what we were told would be a nice neighbourhood off of the Hart Highway. Last night someone came into our fenced front yard and stole our four-foot high inflatable penguin Christmas decoration.
