Barkerville has received a donation of an organ that made its home in the historic town's St. Saviour's Church for decades.

Last Friday hundreds of Prince George residents braved the weather and honoured those who fought and died for freedom and democracy. This Saturday we have another opportunity to honour them, by voting.

Once only grown by the very wealthy, Orchids, have now become affordable due to modern ways of reproduction and have become one of the most popular sold houseplants.

It seems the majority of wine is now bottled with screw caps. Today, two of the wines I feature have screw caps. Some people think it makes the wine less appealing, it's more convenient and no worries of cork taint.

We're coming into the home stretch of these municipal elections, so it's very interesting timing for the release of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business' fourth annual B.C. municipal spending watch report.

I have lived in Prince George all of my 41 years and am proud to be part of this community. I love dreaming and wondering what a great city this could be if we ever could get the downtown revived.

I appreciate civic politicians who ask hard questions and are well informed about the issues that are important to me as a citizen of Prince George. Snow plowing is very important to me.

Today I opened an interesting letter. In this letter I was "encouraged" as to how to cast my ballet in the upcoming municipal election. My CUPE president has decided that there are only certain candidates (listed) that should garner my vote.

During the long-running anger about the Haldi Road Northern Supportive Recovery Centre for Women I have often been tempted to write this letter to assure the neighbourhood that, from our experience with Iris Place, they have no need to be concerned.

I have never been active in a political campaign. I have never written a letter to the editor. However, I have been following this municipal election with interest.
