The heat is starting to die down a bit, but unfortunately for some seniors at Alward Place it is not fast enough. In a recent story some residents at the seniors centre were forced to try to sleep in temperatures as high as 32 C.

The word evolution at its basic definition means change. If that was the meaning Todd Whitcombe used in his column (Aug. 8) he's right on. If he means speculation, then he's incorrect.

This is a letter for the person or person's that felt compelled to relieve a couple of senior citizens of there hard-earned purchase of birch wood.

Seniors' Scene

The last thing I want to do at this time of year is complain about the weather. Yes, it's hot. Yes, it's wonderful. Winter comes far too quickly in Prince George, so I enjoy the reprieve when I can.

I haven't been doing as much exercise lately as I would like, no energy, not in the mood etc. You know how it gets sometimes.

As I See It

Property managers vow change... Really? We have heard this before concerning the Ranch Motel and the London Hotel. Mr Danyluk, manager owner of the London Hotel and the Ranch Motel says "It's not like were doing it on purpose, let's put it that way".

With the hot weather these past weeks, barbecuing or just cooking outside has helped to keep the house cooler. Barbecuing always means a meat course.
