One can practically hear Jack Munro shouting from his grave. "You call that a strike?" he would have roared, his face red in outrage, if he was alive to see the City of Prince George's unionized employees out on the picket lines Saturday.

Re: MacLean's Crime-ranking absence noted by police, mayor, The Citizen, Dec. 6). Let it never be said that Prince George is without tradition.

There is officially seven shopping days left to Christmas (okay, eight if you really leave it the last minute). Stores and the mall are ridiculously crowded - full of frantic, impatient, stressed-out shoppers trying to finish their Christmas lists.

I was disappointed to read the front page of last Thursdays paper.

Before the gas bar opened at Costco in Prince George, I asked an employee at the store if they would be selling diesel. I was told no, there was not enough demand for diesel fuel in Prince George.

The liberal government's use of crown corporations as a de facto source of tax revenue is wrong and especially hurtful to senior citizen's and others on a fixed income.
