Before the gas bar opened at Costco in Prince George, I asked an employee at the store if they would be selling diesel. I was told no, there was not enough demand for diesel fuel in Prince George. Since the gas bar opened at Costco diesel vehicle owners have been penalized. The cost of gas has dropped considerably in the city, and the cost of diesel has increased horrendously. Gas prices dropped down to between $114.9 and $126.9 per litre while diesel has skyrocketed to between $138.9 and $145.9 per litre.
Today's diesel engines are very efficient and clean running. Diesel is cheaper to manufacture than gasoline. Why are diesel owners being discriminated against? Something needs to be done to remedy this unfair price fixing.
