The Northern Capitals are undefeated three games into round robin play at the Mac's Triple-A Midget Hockey Tournament in Calgary. Capitals goalie Kelsey Roberts shut out the Melville Prairie Fire in a 3-0 win on Boxing Day.

It took a shootout, but the Prince George Cougars beat the Victoria Royals on Monday night in Victoria. Vladimir Bobylev put the Royals on the scoreboard eight-and-a-half minutes into the first period with an assist by Tyler Soy.
