Citizen's readership highest since 2003

The Citizen's readership is the highest it's been since 2003, according to the Newspaper Audience Databank (NAD) 2009 readership survey. NAD is a non profit organization in Toronto that conducts readership surveys every two years via telephone.

Citizen press up and running again

An electrical issue that halted the Citizen press yesterday night has now been fixed. The motor was knocked out by a power surge in the control panel. A decision was made at 11 p.m.

Man charged in connection with Adam William's death in court in Prince George

Lloyd Cook, the man charged in connection with the death of a Prince George teen, sat closemouthed and fiddled with a gold pinkie ring as he listened to two witnesses at the start of his trial in Prince George Tuesday.

Camp Day Wednesday

Arson on Quince

A fire bomb, officially known as a Molotov cocktail, ignited a fire in a Prince George residential complex in the 2200 block of Quince Street, but fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze before any damage was done to the structure.

Real bad day

Rescue personnel were called about 10 p.m. Monday to free a man pinned in his vehicle during a single vehicle accident near Bednesti Lake on Highway 16 West.

Slashed throat

Just after midnight Tuesday RCMP were called to UHNBC regarding a 45-year-old man of Prince George who walked into the hospital with a slashed throat. His wound was not life-threatening. The man refused to co-operate with police, said RCMP Sgt.
