Police wish to remind the public drinking and driving laws will be strictly enforced as will the liquor control and licencing act.

Open liquor or consuming alcohol in a public place will result in liquor being seized and tickets under the liquor control act issued. Intoxicated individuals found in a public place could be arrested, charged and released when sober.

Police are also reminding those entering the Nechako River annual float to make sure they are wearing personal floatation devices in order to ensure the public is as safe as possible.
