The Bel Canto Youth Choir travels to Prague for the young2013 music festival March 19.

Coldsnap Music Festival 2013 will once again present a series of free workshops open to all members of the community.

Funk Yeah, the funkiest band south of the north pole, will be performing at the Prince George Conservatory of Music Saturday night at 7:30. Funk Yeah! is a recently-assembled band of 13 musicians that were recruited by local musician Chris Smith.

Immuto, Jennifer Wanner's art exhibit, will be at the Two Rivers Gallery from Jan. 17 until the end of March. In the meantime Wanner is offering a workshop to family's wishing to explore art in an unusual way Saturday, Jan. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Just when winter has really set in. Coldsnap Music Festival presents a great variety of shows with musical acts performing at several venues throughout Prince George from Jan. 18 to 26.

The Prince George Symphony and Out of Alba are partnering to present a Celtic symphony with the Old Time Fiddlers Saturday, Jan. 26 at Vanier Hall, called Lord of the Dance.

New Depths; New Heights art exhibit is presented by the Community Arts Council, featuring Leanna Carlson and Crystalynn Tarr at Studio 2280's Feature Gallery, 2880-15th Avenue, from Jan. 17 to March 7. Opening reception is Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.

Take a look at the refurbished doors at the Community Arts Council complex at 2880 15th Avenue. They're mottled in a most colourful way and it looks quite wonderful, according to local artisans. And they're going to stay that way.
