When I was a kid, the newspaper's T.V. guide was part of the furniture in the living room. When it went missing, we'd all run around trying to find it. That was before hundreds of channels, pay-per-view movies and PVRs.

Entertainers have been trying for years to bring down the house. A recent trend makes that even easier - since the entertaining happens inside someone's actual abode.

She's been practicing for six months, six days a week, four hours a day.

She paints shoes. "And purses and anything else that will stand still long enough," laughed local artist Crystal Desharnais of Blessings Studio.
