He would also like the citizens of Prince George to forget about the Fortis BC money and if that is invested and growing in dollars.

I haven't heard nothing out of Rosalyn Byrd since she was elected. Just sitting back and hoping to get her time in for a nice pension? I hope the voters pay attention to what all three new MLA's do during their first term.

It seems when Conservative voters win a ballot count everything is on the up and up. When they lose one it is always rigged, or a conspiracy theory. You can't have it both ways as it screams of poor losers.

This city needs someone new managing the CN Centre. Glen Mikkelsen might be a nice guy, but with 30+ years , it might be a good time to bring in someone younger in as Manager. The booking of acts that are well past there prime or even not the same members of that band any longer, tells me we need some new blood booking some performers.

Instead of coming back with answering how you would set up criteria of people who could have backyard chickens, such as ways to reduce the noise and the odor for the neighbors around a property with chickens. Yes they do have those kinds of issue, as my mom and sister lived behind a yard in Penticton with chickens. The only thing that ended that endeavor was coyotes came in and killed all the chickens. instead of trying to change the subject to pesticide use. You have to deal with noise and smell issue, not the food, insects and the fact that they are dangerous. The place that sells the items sometimes gives a person information about using it safely. I would hope that a person using it to read the instructions before using. Just a suggestion.

Forget it James. My mom and sister in Penticton had a neighbor with backyard chickens. They didn't keep it up and the noise and smell was terrible.

The suicide hotline and mental health issue that Todd Doherty has helped to address. I want to know if anyone out there knows what he has done to help this region prosper in the last ten years? I think it is important to know this before we vote on election day.

I understand people wanting to do their due diligence on things. With everything council does though, it seems there are always motions, additional reports or hesitation with anything that comes before them. It is any wonder that anything gets accomplished in our city. I wonder if other councils across the province operate this way. Just an observation from watching some of the council meetings.

I would have liked to have attended but had to attend the emergency room in the hospital that evening. I would have liked to ask the question about what is happening with all the land between Creekside and Cowart Rd. The developers went in with guns blazing only now for things to be progressing at a turtles pace? There are things I have heard over the last few years that a church owns the property. I thought it was Fortwood Homes that was developing that area or has that changed? It doesn't make much sense that the city allows other big developments to start everywhere else, when they never finish the projects that get started and then come to a grinding halt. This is why our taxes are so high.

This kind of thing is exactly what I have been talking about with some of my previous posts of the fact that Council puts in endless motions and refers everything back to administration for additional reports and spends an hour and a half discussing a matter that could take a half hour. They bog everything down so that the functioning of the city comes to a screeching halt. It is not necessary in a lot of cases and very unproductive.
