Please give me a minute to recite a little diddy,
it's not to long, about snow in our city.
The officials know it's coming, they see the forecast,
But why start early let's make the overtime last.
They move it to the left, they move it to the right,
When you work for the city this can take all night!!!
Now driving around in this mess and the muck,
Is a real hazard even with a pick up truck.
ICBCs raising the rates, to cover every claim,
Maybe the city should pay since they are to blame.
Average Joe must clear off his walk, so the posties won't fall.
But your kids school buses are stuck and YRB won't take your call.
Thank you for your time today, in this busy holiday season.
Just remember city councel staff, we pay you for a reason!!!!
Maybe we need to look at some other ways to get rid of snow. Why are our many small business men and women who have landscaping business and own their own/ can operate a bobcat not being used to help the city roads stay safe?? Why can't they be pre approved in the fall and then when we have over sized snow falls they can be called in to assist in the out right REMOVAL of snow not just pushing it aside?? Come on Prince George we are a smart bunch lets "dump" some great ideas on own new and returning city staff with how to get rid of the snow!!!!
