Dear friends and family of Heather Kress, Words cannot express the sadness the we are feeling here at Simon Fraser Lodge over the loss of one of our own, Heather Kress.

One of the issues brewing during the run-up to the American election is the contention that corporations are people. This idea is well established in legal decisions dating back to the early part of the 19th century.

I would like to share my frustrations that I have regarding School District 57 sibling priority policy. I have a daughter currently enrolled in College Heights elementary and one that is entering kindergarten in the fall.

The answer to the medical problems of the country could easily be solved if the medical profession was part of the federal government. The money would come out of the pension plan (abundance of cash).

I find myself in strange agreement with the Harper Government. That is an unusual position for me and taken only after much thought.

The great H.L. Mencken wrote of journalism, "[As] I look back over a misspent life, I find myself more and more convinced that I had more fun doing news reporting than in any other enterprise. It really is the life of kings.

So city council voted down a motion for transparency. I hope the names of the council members who voted against open and accountable government become published for all voters to remember next election.

I, for one, support the Coyote's night club idea. We need more adult oriented places to go in town.

Drugs and alcohol in the workplace everyone has heard of it its well publisized in the media and workplace yet many people choose to turn a blind eye to it.
