Collecting delinquent loans is painstaking, time-consuming and emotionally draining work, but a productive learning experience for any banker. It is nearly always wise to first seek a cooperative approach in these situations.

Assignment: Using the present tense, write a piece that takes the reader into a specific memory or moment(s) of time, with you. Choose an experience that has left an imprint on you in some way.

We need to fix our roads and simply blaming the past civic, provincial and federal governments isn't going to get the job done. We need to roll up our sleeves and maybe open our wallets.

A few weeks ago a fellow from Surrey made a comment in the paper, as to how Prince George should have a name change because of all the stigma attached to our crime rate. Considering Surrey's crime rate, I was quite offended by this article.

Re: "Council renumeration policy" Thursday, Mar 29. I was appalled when I read the small, ominous article tucked away on Page 5 that stated, "City councilor's pay was ... increased from $23,888.22 in 2011 to $30,929.30 in 2012.

I thought there was a law about smoking near entrances of stores and businesses. I have a shop downtown and I find that people that are waiting for their appointments, stand out side of my shop and smoke close to the entrance.
