Drain tax onerous

Drain tax onerous

Another onerous tax from the minions at city hall. A ludicrous idea that rain and snow melt from impervious surfaces (roofs, driveways etc.) should be charged an extra tax or levy on the semi annual utility bill.

It's just not that shocking

It's just not that shocking

There seems to be a new and shocking revelation each day from the Senate spending scandal, whether it's about Prime Minister Stephen Harper, his office and staff, or Senators Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin, Patrick Brazeau and Mac Harb.
Making your day and ours

Making your day and ours

Thank you to the incredibly-kind and generous lady that paid part of our dinner bill at Kelly O'Bryans because our baby "made your day." What a wonderful way to make our night as well and a fun story to tell our son when he is older.

Don't settle for walkin'

Don't settle for walkin'

Lou Reed was so cool that when he did a 60-second commercial for Honda in 1986, promoting their scooter, nobody had the nerve to call him a sellout.
Still paying

Still paying

So we will all have to pay more for storm sewers, isn't that in our utility tax bills that have been raised steadily over the last number of years? What about the areas that don't have storm sewers in their neighborhoods? We probably still pay.
