The Cariboo Cougars went undefeated in four pre-season games in Kelowna on the weekend as they tuned up for the 2014-15 regular season of the B.C. Hockey Major Midget League.

Track club hands out the hardware

Carly Frenkel and Kirsten Ward, both 18, were named most outstanding senior athletes at the Prince George Track and Field Club's annual award ceremony on the weekend. Frenkel picked up 12 medals this season, seven of which were gold.

Sure, the Prince George Cougars doubled up the Edmonton Oil Kings to beat them 4-2 Saturday night, the last contest in a two-game homestand at CN Centre. And yes, they swept the series after defeating the defending Memorial Cup champions 5-3 Friday.
