The host Prince George White edged Williams Lake 26-20 Saturday at Masich Place Stadium in an atom division match-up to kick off week five of the regular season of Prince George Minor Football.
In other atom action on Saturday, the host Vanderhoof Vikings beat the visiting Quesnel Bombers 45-30 and Prince George Purple shut out Prince George Red 29-0.
The Prince George Purple peewees defeated Prince George Red 33-6, while the visiting Vanderhoof Vikings secured a 26-18 victory against Prince George Purple at Masich Place.
The Vanderhoof Vikings beat Prince George Red by a three-point margin 9-6.
In junior bantam play, Prince George grounded the visiting Quesnel Bombers 66-2, while the Vanderhoof Vikings stifled the Quesnel Bombers 66-20.
This Saturday, Oct. 11 on week six, sees the opening round of the playoffs in the atom division.
Sixth-seeded Williams Lake tackles third-place Prince George Red at 10 a.m. at PGSS field.
Fifth-ranked Prince George White battles the fourth-place Quesnel Bombers at 12:15 p.m.
The peewees are travelling to Vancouver and B.C. Place on Saturday where they'll play at half-time as part of the annual tribute to B.C. Minor Football.
