The 2015 B.C. women's curling champions will be rocking the house this Sunday at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club.

The Duchess Park Condors are shooting for a top-two finish this weekend at the north central junior girls basketball zone championship. The Condors, who finished third last year, will be on the court at D.P.

Youth bowlers will be aiming for strikes and spares at the YBC zone 8 championships this Sunday. Black Diamond Lanes is hosting the five-pin bantam girls, junior girls and senior girls competitions, in addition to the junior boys.

Team B.C. has its sights set on a top-three finish in the overall standings at the 2015 Canada Winter Games. That was the prediction made by the team's chef de mission Rob Needham Tuesday in a conference call with media.

The Prince George Spruce Kings lottery home is skating on thin ice. With six weeks left before the March 19 draw date, there are still 3,500 tickets ($100 each) remaining. The Spruce Kings are a community-owned team in the B.C. Hockey League.
