After a terrific start at the B.C. high school curling championship, a College Heights Cougars girls rink came back to the pack on Friday but is still in the hunt for a spot in the championship game.

Speirs and Huber will headline fight card at Roll-A-Dome

The Prince George Knights will get the chance to swing for provincial glory on home soil. From Aug. 8-11, the Knights will be the host team for the B.C. Minor Baseball Association peewee triple-A provincial championship tournament.

Some of the fleetest feet in Canada will be on local ice next winter. Prince George has been awarded the 2014 Canadian age class short track speed skating championships.
