The Prince George Cougars are mourning the death of scout Rob Charney.
The WHL team announced Wednesday that Charney, a Manitoba scout based in Winnipeg, died after a battle with cancer.
"He was a very inviting, warm individual," Cougars broadcaster Dan O'Connor said. "He was a very passionate scout who seemed to enjoy what he did."
Anyone wishing to make a donation in Charney's honour is encouraged to contribute to KidSport Canada.
