CN's northern B.C. line was re-opened this morning following a derailment on Sunday night. The line was re-opened at 8:30 a.m., said CN spokesperson Kelli Svendsen. Of the 113 coal cars in the train, 33 derailed.

A CN coal train derailed Sunday night south of McBride, closing the rail line to Prince George. Preliminary reports indicate that 33 loaded coal cars destined for Prince Rupert were derailed, CN spokesperson Kelli Svendsen said Monday.

One victim stabbed

The two people sitting at the head of the biggest electoral tables in the Prince George region are both excited about 2011 because of one word: diversity.
