Jack August Simmons made quite a splash when he was born. He arrived in the water-birth tub at University Hospital and he was also the city's first baby of 2015, arriving on the evening of Jan. 1.

The B.C. Vital Statistics Agency released its list of the most popular names for boys and girls born in 2013. There were 42,925 babies born in B.C. in 2013 -22,491 boys and 21,434 girls -according to information released by the agency on Thursday.
