Highlights from the Spruce City Men’s Fastball League (SCMFL) from the week ending on Friday (July 24).

Tuesday, July 21

  • 14 - Falcon Contracting
  • 12 - Freshii Hitmen

Falcon Contracting got the first victory of the shortened 2020 season in hopes of salvaging its 2019 championship loss.

Robbie Antoine was the winning pitcher in the close battle.

Wednesday, July 22

  • 6 - Sibola Electric Royals
  • 4 - Falcon Camp Services

Norm Linton was a forced to be reckoned with for the Royals, clobbering a home run and earning the win on the mound.

Teammate Brennan Hammell also put one over the fence for the blue and silver.

  • 4 - Freshii Hitmen

Falcon Camp Services recovered in the doubleheader with its first win of the season, but it was also a close game.

On the mound, it was the battle of the Patricks with Craig Sr. getting the win against Craig Jr.

Thursday, July 23

  • 8 - Falcon Contracting
  • 4 - Sibola Electric Royals

The doubled-up ‘W’ has Falcon Contracting undefeated after the first week of ball.

Pitcher Robbie Antoine got his second win in a row while Tyson Ghostkeeper put a dinger over the fence.

Norm Linton and Trevor Ketlo each contributed a homer on Thursday.

STANDINGS

  • 2-0 = Falcon Contracting
  • 1-1 = Sibola Electric Royals
  • 1-1 = Falcon Camp Services
  • 0-2 = Freshii Hitmen

There are six games scheduled at Spruce City Stadium next week starting Monday (July 27) at 6:30 p.m. with the Royals taking part in a doubleheader against Falcon Camp Services and the Prince George Hitmen.
