Another Prince George establishment will temporarily be closing its doors due to COVID-19.

PG Recycling & Return-It Depot (2614 Petersen Rd.) has announced as of Monday (March 30), it will be pausing operations.

"For the safety of our staff and valued clients, we believe this is a necessary step to help flatten the curve in the fight against COVID-19," a Facebook post by the company says.

"We take great pride in being a locally owned and community-orientated local business. We look forward to once again being your one-stop shop for all recycling needs in the near future."

COVID-19 can be persistent on many of the items and surfaces of items the depot collects.

"We would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the years," the post ends. "Stay safe. Stay happy. Stay home."

As of this publication, there are nine positive cases of COVID-19 in northern B.C., according to Provincial Health Officer  Dr. Bonnie Henry.
