Prince George jumps on top of B.C. podium four times at Trampoline Provincials

Six gymnasts earn seven medals from Port Moody event

The Prince George Gymnastics Club is leaping with excitement after seeing its Trampoline team succeed this past weekend.

Six local athletes medalled at the 2019 Trampoline Gymnastics B.C. Championships in Port Moody, getting onto the podium seven times including four golds.

Prince George earned at least one piece of hardware from each of the four disciplines at the three-day competition.

Harling Koughan won three medals for the northern capital, including a silver he won with his brother Delaney in Synchro Trampoline in the Men’s Level Three division.

In the same category, Emma Sands and Rachel Massey took home the gold medal in Women’s Level Three Synchro Trampoline.

The medallists are as follows:

GOLD

  • Mataya Auxi = 13+ Level One Tumbling
  • Caleb Emon = Men’s Level Three Double Mini Trampoline
  • Harling Koughan = Men’s Level Three Trampoline
  • Emma Sands and Rachel Massey = Women’s Level Three Synchro Trampoline

SILVER

  • Harling Koughan = Men’s Level Three Double Mini Trampoline
  • Harling and Delaney Koughan = Men’s Level Three Synchro Trampoline

BRONZE

  • Delaney Koughan = Men’s Level Two Double Mini Trampoline

The trampolinists are prepping for the Western Canada Cup in Grande Prairie later this month.
