Helping those who can’t help themselves.

That’s the message behind a fundraising event taking place next month that will allow you to chug a beer in support of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals.

The B.C. SPCA’s North Cariboo branch in Prince George is hosting ‘Rounds for Hounds’ on Saturday, June 15 at Trench Brewing and Distilling.

Local residents are encouraged to come to the 2nd Ave. establishment and enjoy a selection of craft beers, a 12oz. beer, cider, or (if you’re driving) a non-alcoholic drink to help raise awareness on how to properly care for pets and animals and reporting abuse.

A taco bar fiesta will be on the table to chow down (Si Si Si), with vegan and vegetarian options will be available.

There’ll also be games for everyone to enjoy, along with a silent auction, and all proceeds from this event are going directly to the SPCA.

‘Rounds for Hounds’ tickets are available to purchase via the North Cariboo SPCA’s website.

The fundraiser goes from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on June 15.
