Man awaiting trial for aggravated assault may be fleeing to Prince George

RCMP believe a 20-year-old man wanted on two warrants may be on the run to Prince George.

According to Quesnel RCMP, Kelly Gerk left a treatment centre in Logan Lake, located 77 km west of Kamloops, with two other men last Tuesday (April 21) and hasn't been seen since.

Mounties say Gerk is awaiting trial for aggravated assault stemming from an April 2019 arrest in Quesnel.

Police believe he may be in the city or is still fleeing north on Highway 97 towards Prince George and are now turning to the public to help find him.

Gerk is described as:

  • White
  • 5'8"
  • 160 pounds
  • Short brown hair
  • Brown eyes, but wears glasses at time (as seen in the above photo)
  • Medium complexion
  • Athletic build
