A person of interest in an alleged sexual assault at a real estate open house has turned himself in, Prince George RCMP said Thursday.
He took the step after police released an image of the suspect on Wednesday.
He is alleged to have come up behind a woman and touched her back before groping her as she was showing him a unit at the new complex in the 2600 block of Recplace Drive, near the corner of Highways 16 and 97, on the morning of Sunday, March 27.
When the woman yelled out, the man left the area on foot. The woman was not injured, police said.
"Investigators arrested the suspect this morning and he will remain in-custody until he can attend court. The man is cooperating fully with our police investigation," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in a statement.
The investigation remains ongoing and the man's name was not released.
