Fire crews from four different halls responded to a commercial structure fire in the 100 block of Ontario Street at about noon Tuesday, July 22.
First responders ensured all occupants were safely evacuated, while additional crews worked to locate the source of the fire.
Fire and smoke detection systems alerted building occupants, and sprinklers helped to control the blaze.
Three evacuees were evaluated and treated at the scene by fire rescue personnel and BC Ambulance Service staff. No injuries were reported among first responders.
Damage from smoke, fire, and water is estimated at $60,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
