The Prince George Citizen presents the Outdoor Adventure Show Saturday and Sunday at the CN Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This show is the perfect way to have fun with the family for free, while enjoying the offerings of many exhibitors, including the latest and greatest in power sports, camping, hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation, all under the CN Centre's big roof.

"The success that we have with shows like this is because of the partnerships that we are forging throughout the community," said Norm Coyne, the Citizen's promotions executive. "We have something like this that we grow and develop and present to the public but it's the businesses that are making it happen. Without any one piece there's nothing. So we want to thank everyone involved - and don't forget it's free for everyone to attend."

The show is sponsored by Cycle North Powersports, Northland Auto Group and Happy Trails RV.

"Cycle North is excited to be a sponsor of the Outdoor Adventure Show," said Bryce Lokken, marketing coordinator for Cycle North. "We strive to help the people of northern B.C. to get outside and experience all the region has to offer, including quadding, snowmobiling, fishing, boating hunting - all the things we're lucky enough to do in our own backyards."

A few of the scheduled attractions at the Outdoor Adventure Show include:

Colin Angus, the author, adventurer, National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, and filmmaker, who completed the first human-powered world circumnavigation in 2006 when he cycled 43,000 kilometres, will be on hand for a presentation.

Spruce City Wildlife brings their Laser Shot virtual gun range for the public to try.

Scott Rea, Barkerville's seven-time world invitational gold panning champion will do what he does best with the public.

Wildman North Wilderness Survival Training will assemble a wilderness shelter at the show and offer a presentation on survival basics.

Brian Smith, author of Fly Fishing B.C.'s Interior and president of the Polar Coachmen Fly Fishing Club, will have fly tying workshops.

"This show wouldn't happen without the sponsors and these are the businesses that invest in this kind of event and we appreciate that," said Coyne.
