Regular checked baggage screening has resumed at Prince George Airport (YXS) following the repair of a malfunctioning CTX screening machine.

The issue caused a temporary disruption in its screening process. It was the second such issue this summer.

In other news, the airport let passengers know last week that roadwork set to begin Friday, Aug. 8 on Ellis and Sintich roads will cause delays of up to 15 minutes for people heading to and from the airport. The paving work is expected to take two weeks.

Airport staff recommend that people factor possible delays into their travel plans when heading to the airport.
