The Ministry of the Environment and Northern Health have reissued the dust advisory for Prince George.

Road dust in the bowl area is believed to be responsible for the high levels of coarse particles measured downtown and at the BCR site.

Light winds and dry conditions continue to contribute to dust accumulating in the air shed, according to the advisory, with air quality expected to be better at higher elevations.

"Levels are expected to improve by this afternoon as winds are expected to increase somewhat by this afternoon," the advisory said. "However, particulate levels are expected to increase again this evening and early tonight."

A slight chance of rain in the forecast is not expected to do much to improve conditions.

The advisory should be in place until at least Friday morning.
