More support is available for post-secondary students in Prince George.

The College of New Caledonia (CNC) and the CNC Students' Union (CNCSU) have announced the launch of its COVID-19 Emergency Student Fund, available to domestic, Indigenous and international students.

After the announcement on April 2 from Minister of Advanced Education Skills and Training Melanie Mark of emergency support for domestic students at every B.C. post-secondary school, the college has been working on a system to give to all of its students.

"It was during this process that CNC and CNCSU came together to expand upon the funds from the government to support not only domestic students but all students who require financial support during this COVID-19 crisis," a release from the Student Union says.

"We are proud to say that any student that shows need will be able to apply for this fund. Applications are able to be filled and submitted today (April 17)."

Domestic students who require financial assistance can find official resources and submission requirements via finaid@cnc.bc.ca and/or fill out the online form available online.

Indigenous students who need financial assistance can contact arc@cnc.bc.ca.

International students can fill out a form online and submit the completed information to aid@cncsu.ca.
