Mr. Kluge's March 19 letter criticizing the school children's march over the "Harper Government" directive doesn't make it clear what left wing means.

I just wanted to bring to mind an issue that needs to be dealt with and it is especially imperative now as our baby boomers all head into retirement age.

Thank you to the CWL (Catholic Women's League) for sponsoring the excellent March Senior Tea at the Civic Centre. What a lovely event for Seniors to get out and enjoy entertainment and fellowship with others.

Who came up with the idea of a "last drink" defence ["Drunk driving rap missed closing time, says Judge", March 23]? I'm sure I'm not the only reader who was stunned and knocked (almost) speechless by this ridiculous concept.

I read with interest the letter by Terry Espejo titled "Back to the Basic of Learning." His letter addresses the move in this district to reform the delivery of Math 8 in area high schools with the goal of improving student achievement.

While newly minted Premier Christy Clark was busy patting herself on the back over last week's announcement of an increase in the minimum wage, the news is not welcome for many.

I am mortified by the magnitude of problems arising from the chambers of city council. The use of the "alternate approval" process, the brainchild of Gordon Campbell, is candidly deviant.

As Prime Minister Harper continues to try and do good things for this country, Ignatieff and his Liberals continue to work to defeat wise decisions and plans put forth by the Conservatives.

I have driven in 15 different countries in all kinds of traffic and in Canada, coast to coast through all provinces, all major cities and all major highways.

Mr. Mayor, I have had since the last thaw some three weeks ago a lake in front of my home. It seems I can no longer get mail unless they bring a boat as my only access is via water craft.
