A wayward baboon that apparently escaped from an amusement park and became a mini-celebrity - appearing at a golf course and being followed on Twitter - was captured Saturday after spending three days on the lam.

I would like to send this letter out to the parents who sent their child to a summer day camp all week last week knowing that child had pink eye!! Now because YOUR job was so important that you could not stay home with your sick and contagious child

If you haven't heard by now, reality shows have taken over your TV set. Some are OK, some are total and utter drivel and the odd one is good.

Workplace harassment is bullying at it worst. Our city seems to be placing more emphasis on the breach of protocol by Coun. Brian Skakun than on the poisoned workplace and personal damage perpetrated by former top cop Dahl Chambers.

On Sunday, Councillor Cameron Stoltz had lobster for lunch. How do we know this you ask? Because he told us in his Facebook posting.

Remember when you were a kid and summertime finally came around? You'd meet up with pals at the local community centre, play a few games - maybe soccer if it was nice out or foosball if it was raining.

I am given to wonder about our current city councillors and mayor Rogers. We have a situation where councillor Skakun's actions could have and should have, been dealt with outside of the court system.

Thank you for excellent editorial entitled "A blow to whistleblowers." These recent actions of council and the mayor in bringing censure on Mr. Skakun remind me of the actions of a bully or an old boys club. Mr.

Soooo mayor and council. What are we afraid of? Must be some secrets in the wings we may be trying to hide. What could they be? How soon campaign promises are forgotten. More open council and responsible spending with a closer watch on tax increases.
