I do not understand why we would "preserve" the PG Hotel. I have been informed that it has a wooden foundation and would require repairs and upgrades into the millions to bring it up to something decent.

Claims that BC Hydro's "smart meters" are dangerous are blowing past what science is really saying about electromagnetic energy and wireless devices in general.

I have three relatives all retired seniors living in Ontario who have had smart meters installed in their homes. Their Hydro bills doubled since these meters were put in their homes.

Let me start by saying that I am a huge supporter of our armed forces, my son is a reservist and has done a tour in Afghanistan, but I must voice my displeasure with this city council's intent to locate the new reserve unit at the old Meadow school.

In regard to Mr. Beebe's superficially reasonable call for a referendum on the Performing Arts Centre (P.G. Citizen, Aug 24).

BC Hydro employees confirmed for The Citizen this week that homeowners have no choice about getting so-called "smart meters" installed on your home.

With all the infinite wisdom the Crown Corp that BC Hydro has in their head office, the bigger the scope of the smart meter, the smaller their brains get.

I attended the city council meeting last night where a member of Concerned Citizens for Safe Technology gave a short presentation outlining some of the problems that other communities have been having with smart meters.

Family Fun day took place Saturday at the Central B.C. Railway and Forestry Museum to enjoy a last hurrah before school routines take over.

The people have spoken - the Harmonized Sales Tax is sunk. It no longer matters whether B.C.
