Where are we? Prince George real estate agent Dean Birks kick-started a conversation this week by arguing that it's not only factually incorrect to say this city is part of Northern B.C.

Ah youth. Gangly, goofy, sweaty, striving fawns at play. As adults, at some point we negotiate terms with middle age, but children in sports - especially our own - awaken something in us which nearly replaces our own fading juice.

This letter is to the Glendas and Dougs out there who think the recycling workers have all the time in the world to sort their recyclables.

Congratulations, Neil, on a thoughtful editorial in today's (Nov. 18) paper. Your comments were both accurate and perceptive. Prince George is a union town. That has been both a boon and a cost at times.

Re: Lawyer clears IIO in Matters investigation Tracey Matters points out that a review of the investigation into her brother's death failed to criticize the Independent Investigations Office for stating he was shot in the chest, not the back.

If Prince George mayor-elect Lyn Hall's passport isn't up to date, he'd better get on that because he's going to need it. In his four years in office, it's not if but when and how often Hall will travel internationally representing Prince George.

Government liquor stores in B.C. will have to raise their game to stay in business once a significant advantage over the private stores is removed next April.
